Summer Drawings
After a three-month residency in New York, I returned to Israel and immediately started to capture the essence of Tel Aviv. I had missed the unique light, sounds, and smells of the city so much. This series is an ode to the upcoming summer season, composed of beach scenes and spontaneous representations of people and life in Tel Aviv.
Each piece is a visual observation of the different layers of people on the beach. I see each silhouette as a single line apparition, a quick impression of passage and ephemeral joy. This unique study mixes patterns and minimal lines with soft color overlays to create a feeling that you cannot simply put in a box.
