Jessica Moritz X ILLULIAN
Quantum Dance Collection
Quantum Dance is a collection by Jessica Moritz in Collaboration with ILLULIAN.
inspired by the way time and light shape perception. Circles serve as primal imprints, symbols of continuity through change. We can always refer to the original shape as a key to our past, present and future.
Each shape testifies to moments where time and circumstance left their mark, translating impact into movement and color. A conscious meditation guided by geometry and physics made by hands. Each work bridges logic and intuition. Where the circle suggest closure, Art expands the choreography to begin anew.
Each piece is a unique artwork, hand-knotted in Nepal by skilled artisans using pure Himalayan wool, fine natural silk, and plant-based dyes, following traditional techniques that have distinguished the maison for over six decades.

Supernova, ILLULIAN X Jessica Moritz
Supernova reflects on the shifting paths of decision and change. Circles mark turning points; lines trace the passage of time, shape reflect on the journey. Yet nothing unfolds in a straight direction. Movement vends, recalibrate, evolves. This design honors the beauty of detours, where logic dissolves and new constellation emerge.

The collection is articulated in two variations, Supernova and Serendipity, each conceived as a journey through perception, a poetic reflection on how time and light shape visual reality.

Inside Out

still frame, inside out, video 6'02, 2020
Collaboration with Diana Schuemann Dancer and Choreographer
we came up with the idea of choreography in the white cube as a statement and also as a performance.
Choreography Based on limited gestures in limited space.
Movement is the most basic gesture that we can experience and achieve. Still, when you do it, you often forget that each movement has a direction and goal. As we both are engaged in movement based work in urban space and relations, we decided to build a project interacting with it and develop it around the different interactions and possibilities based on it.
Both of us are also immigrants, so expression will never be the same for us. We had to build our own language to be able to interact in our daily life. Therefore, our attitude and gesture made our experience unique.
Our posture, gesture and observations of our surroundings made us stretch, band over, fold to fit in this life.
In this specific work, where Diana (the performer) is dancing in a closed space but showing to the street and interacting with viewers, people passing by, cars traffic and noise.
